From the mountains to the city – providing connectivity across Pakistan

From the mountainous regions in the north of the country, oil and gas deployments in challenging conditions, to its densely populated cities, Pakistan had proven to be a difficult place to provide high-quality internet connectivity before Infinet Wireless set up a partnership with Comstar. 

Connectivity across all sectors

Comstar company has been designing, integrating and commissioning complete integrated systems for businesses since 1996. It has been working in partnership with Infinet Wireless since 2014 and since then more than 300 units have been installed across a range of industrial sectors across Pakistan. 

Infinet Wireless and Comstar have equipped five remote oilfields and office locations with connectivity which allows them to access the internet, share files and operate security and surveillance systems. In the financial and enterprise sectors several deployments have been completed that enable banks and other commercial entities to stay connected to remote branches and offices. 

Exceeding expectations

Before working with Infinet Wireless, Comstar had found other suppliers unable to overcome the problems of working in the mountainous regions in the north of Pakistan and in Kashmir. No one had been able to supply 100 Mbps Full Duplex output required. Infinet Wireless managed to overcome technical limitations utilizing a three-hop link solution which overcame difficult terrain and a lack of a clear line of sight. 

Despite difficult conditions, Comstar using Infinet Wireless was still able to install connectivity solutions at speed. In most cases installation took just 24-hours after arrival at the location.
